Who we are
A local team you get to know by name.
Warmtouch Plumbing and Heating is run by Adam, working from Abbey Farm in Audley End, just outside Saffron Walden. Over more than ten years he's built a close-knit team — Toby, Sam and Jack — who between them cover everything from a dripping tap to a full bathroom, a new Worcester Bosch boiler to underfloor heating across an entire ground floor.
The range is genuinely broad: gas, oil and LPG boiler installation and servicing; central heating, underfloor heating, radiators and smart Hive controls; full bathroom and en-suite renovations; kitchen and utility first and second fix; everyday plumbing and emergency repairs; and air conditioning by F-Gas certified engineers. It's the mix of a proper heating firm and a trusted local plumber under one roof.
We're Gas Safe registered (No. 632124), OFTEC registered for oil boilers, and F-Gas certified for air conditioning — and we're accredited installers for both Worcester Bosch and Vaillant, which is what lets us register a new Worcester Bosch boiler for a manufacturer's guarantee of up to 12 years.
Adam doesn't push the priciest option — the reviews describe someone who “advised us on exactly what to buy” and “made sure we chose the right products for the space”. On larger jobs Toby project-manages the installation, keeping every stage coordinated and every detail finished. Clients keep using the same words: reliable, organised, genuine.
The clearest picture of the firm is in the reviews — a straight 5.0 on Google. Underfloor heating and a new boiler across a whole ground floor. A bathroom “beyond anything I imagined”. An en-suite shower that “went as smoothly as it could have”. Honest, tidy work from a team you can trust in your home.

Meet the team
The people who turn up.
No call centre, no anonymous subcontractors — the same faces you'll see named in the reviews.
Adam
Owner & lead engineer
Founded and runs Warmtouch. Gas Safe registered, and the person most clients meet first — quoting the work, advising on options and keeping standards consistent across every job.
Toby
Senior engineer & project manager
Project-manages larger installations end to end — coordinating each stage, keeping work running smoothly and finishing every detail to a high standard. Named again and again in the reviews.
Sam
Heating & plumbing engineer
Part of the core installation team on boilers, underfloor heating and full plumbing fit-outs across kitchens, utility rooms and bathrooms.
Jack
Heating & plumbing engineer
Works alongside Adam and Sam on installations and everyday plumbing — one of the team clients thank by name for jobs done cleanly and properly.
What stands behind the work
Credentials, in plain English.
Gas, oil & registered
Gas Safe Registered — No. 632124
Legally required for any work on boilers, gas appliances and flues. It's the first thing to check before you let anyone work on your gas — and our registration number is here for you to verify.
OFTEC Registered for oil boilers
Registered with the Oil Firing Technical Association, so oil-fired boiler installation, servicing and repair is carried out safely and to the correct standard — important for the many homes off the mains-gas grid around Saffron Walden.
F-Gas Certified for air conditioning
The refrigerants inside air conditioning systems are regulated — F-Gas certification means our engineers are legally qualified to install, service and repair them.
Manufacturer accredited
Worcester Bosch Accredited Installer
Accreditation direct from Worcester Bosch — which is what allows us to register your new boiler for a manufacturer's guarantee of up to 12 years, cover a non-accredited installer simply can't offer.
Vaillant Accredited Installer
Also approved by Vaillant, so you have a trained, accredited choice between two of the UK's most respected boiler brands rather than being pushed toward one.
10+ years, one local team
More than a decade serving Saffron Walden and the surrounding counties, with a named team — Adam, Toby, Sam and Jack — so the standard stays consistent from the first visit to the final check.

What each accreditation means for you
Gas Safe Registered
No. 632124
By law, only a Gas Safe registered engineer may work on your boiler, gas appliances and flues. It is the single most important thing to check before letting anyone touch your gas.
Worcester Bosch Accredited Installer
Up to 12-year guarantee
Accredited by Worcester Bosch to install their boilers — which is what lets us register your new boiler for a manufacturer's guarantee of up to 12 years.
Vaillant Accredited Installer
Approved installer
Approved by Vaillant to install and service their heating products, so you have a trained choice of two of the UK's leading boiler manufacturers.
OFTEC Registered
Oil firing technician
Registered with the Oil Firing Technical Association, which certifies us to install, service and repair oil-fired boilers safely and to standard.
F-Gas Certified
Air conditioning
F-Gas certification is a legal requirement for engineers handling the refrigerants in air conditioning systems — so our AC installs and servicing are done compliantly.

Care & maintenance guide
Small habits that keep the plumber's bill down.
A few minutes each season saves most households an avoidable call-out. Here's what we recommend through the year.
Autumn
Book your annual boiler service before the cold sets in — our six-step service catches small faults early and is the cheapest way to avoid a mid-winter breakdown. Bleed radiators that are cold at the top.
Winter
Lag exposed pipes in lofts, garages and outbuildings — a burst frozen pipe is one of the most damaging call-outs. Know where your stopcock is and check it turns, so you can shut the water off fast.
Spring
Check under sinks and around the boiler for any slow leak or corrosion that built up over winter, and reseal around baths and showers where old silicone has cracked before water gets behind the tiles.
Summer
The quietest, most comfortable time for bigger work — a new bathroom, a boiler swap or air conditioning ready for next summer. Run the heating briefly even in warm months so valves and pumps don’t seize.
